Hygiene and Cleaning

Mystery Bay Campground is a remote site. Visitors are to practice good hygiene and bring their own cleaning equipment.

About the campsite

  • Sites have room for vehicles of all shapes and sizes, plenty of space to find a level site
  • All sites are unpowered
  • Cold showers
  • Centrally placed water taps connected to drinkable down water
  • Pit toilets
  • Firewood can be purchased on site or bring your own
  • All fires must be contained within a fire pit and must be completely extinguished prior to vacating the site
  • Gas and ice available from nearby farm
  • The closest supermarket is Narooma, although some provisions are available from Central Tilba
  • Dogs allowed on leash and under control at all times
  • Payment can now be made online or please pay fees to caretaker

  • Explore its fantastic beaches and rocky coves
  • Swim in the bay’s beautiful turquoise waters
  • Surf at Mystery Bay and neighbouring beaches
  • Beach fishing nearby
  • A sand boat ramp at Mystery Bay is sometimes difficult to access and needs a 4WD. More accessible ramps at Narooma, Bermagui and Corunna Lake

    • Whale watching cruises (late September – November)
    • Ocean fishing charters
    • Montague Island Tours – Half-day tours to Montague Island Nature Reserve to see seals, Little Penguins and other nesting birds in season and historic lightstation. Overnight tours can be arranged; and
    • Wagonga Inlet cruises
  • Visit Eurobodalla
  • See main stream and art house films in the heritage listed Narooma Kinema
  • Explore historic villages of Central Tilba and Tilba Tilba
  • Explore historic Bodalla, birthplace of Australia’s commercial cheese industry
  • Bodalla Dairy Shed
  • Visit Bermagui
